Gua Sha is a traditional East Asian healing technique that involves using a smooth-edged tool to gently scrape the skin in one direction. This practice is believed to improve blood circulation, reduce inflammation, and release blocked energy (known as chi in traditional Chinese medicine).
It has been used for centuries in China and other parts of Asia to help with muscle pain, tension, and overall wellness. Some modern variations incorporate facial Gua Sha, which is a gentler technique aimed at reducing puffiness, promoting lymphatic drainage, and enhancing skin health.
